Private Makeup Lessons

Many busy professional women get to a point where they want to learn more about how to apply makeup and take care of their skin. But this is not a topic that they covered in school and it may be tough to get the help you deserve. Every woman's skin is different, and what works for one of your friends may not work for you. As we age our skin changes, the techniques we used when we were younger may not work any more. And of course styles change and we want to keep looking fresh. Sounds complicated, but fear not - Andrea is here to help you look like the goddess that you are.

"I can teach you how to apply just the right type of makeup, in the right color, in the right amount, to the right place to work magic!"

I can structure your lessons to fit your busy life and we will focus on your personal needs. I can provide in home discreet personal training and coaching, or conduct special business seminars to groups of women (an increasingly popular Corporate event for ladies). If you like, we can even create a subtle schedule of changes so your look transforms over a period of time. People in the office will notice you look great, but won't be able to figure out what you are doing.

Here is a sample of the lessons we will cover:

The best guide is if you have brown, hazel or green eyes you will suit WARM reds. If you have blue or gray eyes, you will suit COOL reds, although this may vary depending on you skin color.

So how do you know which is which? Warm reds have more orange or rust tones, whilst cool reds have more blue in them, like a fuscia pink or a purple-red.

Always try to test the lipstick on your lips, ask the assistant for a tester and then just run a cotton-bud over the lipstick to apply.

Now, when you have selected your lipstick, follow the steps below:

  1. Always clean your teeth and moisturize your lips before you start applying your lipstick. I use Kiehls Lip Balm.
  2. When you apply your powder to seal your foundation, apply a little over your lips.
  3. Draw a steady outline with your lip pencil to give yourself an even lip shape.
  4. Fill-in your lips using the same pencil. This creates a very strong base for your lipstick.
  5. Apply your lipstick in the manner you are used to, either from the tube or with a lip-brush.
  6. Blot you lips firmly with a tissue. Separate the tissue into single-ply and press your powder-puff against your lips through the tissue. Re-apply lipstick and blot lightly again.
  7. Finally, put you index finger between your lips as if you were sucking a lolipop and you will remove any lipstick which would have ended up on your teeth!
  8. OK, now you're ready to hit the town!

Sound complicate and overwhelming? Don't know where to start? Then maybe private makeup lessons are just what the doctor ordered. Give me a call at 513-200-6945 and we start transforming your look
