Andrea Flannery is a professional makeup artist hair stylist and licensed esthetician. Her lifelong fascination with makeup led her to the decision to turn her passion into her vocation.

While attending her high school Career Day during her junior year she met
a Hollywood makeup artist. Andrea was just seventeen years old. That meeting crystallized Andrea’s intention to pursue her passion for makeup artistry as her career path.

During the summer before her senior year, Andrea attended a professional makeup school, JLS, located in Los Angeles and earned her Makeup Artist Certificate. She attended Northern Kentucky University (NKU) and graduated with distinction with a Liberal Arts degree. Her classes at NKU included a semester of theatrical stage makeup.

Special Effects makeup always held a place of fascination for Andrea. In pursuit of that interest, she was hired as a seasonal special effects makeup artist for The USS Nightmare Halloween Haunted Ship. This year, she completed her seventh year on the “Nightmare”.

Her ever-present quest for more knowledge and education regarding makeup led Andrea to complete additional training and licensing as an Esthetician. Andrea came full circle when, once again, she crossed paths with the Hollywood Makeup Artist she had met in high school. She privately trained under her learning advanced professional makeup artist education for beauty, film, and print makeup.

Obtaining additional knowledge, experience and education regarding makeup artistry is part of how Andrea pursues her passion. Keeping up to date with the latest makeup advances and techniques through professional industry journals and classes, Andrea continues to develop and advance her knowledge base.
